Dear Customer,
Please be informed that as from February 01st 2016 (basis load or discharge date), the Port Authorities and MAPA (Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply), will be requiring to the shippers to provide the Wooden Packing Material details for all cargoes to be loaded ex/to Brazil.
Therefore, with immediate effect, you are required to provide the Wooden Packing Material details for all cargoes to be loaded ex/to Brazil, by the time of Shipping Instruction submission to CMA CGM.
The Declaration must follow the below format:
· Wooden Packing: Processed Wood;
· Wooden Packing: Treated and Certified (the materials have been treated and/or fumigated and include a Certificate);
· Wooden Packing: Not Treated and not Certified (the materials have not been treated nor fumigated and do not include a Certificate);
· Wooden Packing: Not Applicable (when packing material is not wooden).
In case such information don’t be stated in the Shipping Instruction / Bill of Lading / Cargo Manifest, we will be considering the option “Not Applicable” and the same will be declared at Brazilian Customs’ System, being the shipper fully responsible by any penalty related to the non compliance of such new regulation.
