Seatrade-Maritime: CU Lines opens Turkey office
Published by Seatrade-Maritime
CULines has officially launched its Turkish subsidiary, Culines Denizcilik Limited Şirketi, as the company expands globally under the Belt and Road Initiative.
CU Lines said given Turkey’s geographical position the new office serves as a pivotal hub enabling it to deepen its footprint in the converging markets of Europe, Asia and Africa.
CULines has preliminarily built a trunk-and-feeder shipping network in Turkey, with three core fixed liner services in regular operation – AEM, MES and NAF – facilitating intra-regional connectivity across the Eastern Mediterranean, North Africa and the Black Sea.
Leveraging CULines’ broader trunk and feeder network, the Turkey hub interconnects shipping services across four major regions—the Red Sea, West Asia (Middle East), Southeast Asia, and Northeast Asia—linking Turkey with Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Yemen, Djibouti, the UAE, India, Pakistan, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, Mainland China, Taiwan China, Japan, South Korea, and other destinations. This provides reliable maritime shipping support for regional cross-border trade and logistics supply chains.
The new office adds to those opened in India, West Asia (Dubai) and Japan last year, the carrier has completed its Eurasia-Africa service layout.
In the future, relying on its Turkish subsidiary, CULines will continue to expand its route portfolio covering the Mediterranean, North Africa and the Black Sea.
