Congestion Fee (CFD) – All Imports to Shuwaikh, Kuwait

 

Dear Customer,

 

As Maersk Line strives to continue to offer you a broad portfolio of services, we are notifying a Congestion Fee (CFD) as follows.

  • All Far East Asia origins           USD 250/ 20” ; USD 500/ 40” and 45”
  • All Intra Gulf origins                USD 50/ 20”   ; USD 100/ 40” and 45”
  • All Mediterranean origins         USD 200/ 20” ; USD 400/ 40” and 45”
  • All North Europe origins           USD 200/ 20” ; USD 400/ 40” and 45”
  • Rest of World origins    USD 150/ 20” ; USD 300/ 40” and 45”

The Congestion Fee will be applicable on all DRY cargo to Shuwaikh effective from 17 March 2017 for non-FMC corridors and 2 April 2017 for FMC corridors until further notice. This charge will be collected in Kuwait.

 

For your reference, we have also included the levels and the rate structure for some sample corridors to/from Europe valid from today until further notice. These charges may be changed in the future and we will notify you accordingly

 

 

 

 

  • The above rates are also subject to other applicable surcharges, including local charges and contingency charges.
  • These rates are unaffected by, and do not affect, any tariff notified, published or filed in accordance with local regulatory requirements.
  • For trades subject to the US Shipping Act or the China Maritime Regulations, quotations or surcharges that vary from the Maersk Line tariff shall not be binding on Maersk Line unless included in a service contract or service contract amendment that has been filed with the Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) or the Shanghai Shipping Exchange, as applicable.
