Subject: Belgium Truck Tolling System as per 01.04.2016

Dear Valued Customer,

Please be informed that the Belgian Government will implement a nationwide satellitebased truck tolling system with effect from the 1st April 2016.

Trucks that have a gross registered weight over 3,5 tons will have to pay Euro 0,074 per kilometre and trucks that are built before 1999 or have a weight over 32 tons will have to pay Euro 0,20 per kilometre.

Tolls will be charged on all motorways and major roads in Flanders, Wallonia and Brussels. These charges will apply to both domestic and foreign trucks.

What does this mean for your inland haulage rates?

MOL will be increasing haulage rates to recover these costs. Rates will be increased by around 3% to 7% depending on the length of the journey in Belgium. The increase may be applicable to haulage to/from other countries (e.g. France, Luxembourg and Spain) where the Journey involves transit through Belgium to reach ports.

More details of the increase will be confirmed at the end of January. MOL regrets having to introduce this “Toll increase” but you will appreciate that we are not able to absorb these costs within our existing prices.

If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact your local sales office. Contact details can be found on our website www.molpower.com.

Yours faithfully,

MOL Management
