OOCL Increased Congestion Surcharges for Carrier’s Haulage transports effective August 1st, 2025

Dear valued customer,
due to the very tense situation at the German ports as well as in Antwerp and Rotterdam, the delays at seaport terminals including loading activity interruptions and landside delivery delays, the capacity of the mentioned gateways continues to be under pressure.

In view of the ongoing high waiting times at the terminals and the associated vendor costs we will increase the Intermodal Congestion Surcharge as follows:

Truck via Hamburg, Antwerp and Rotterdam, Inbound (ICS) and Outbound (ICO):
EUR 60 per container, effective date August 1st, 2025

Barge via Antwerp and Rotterdam, Inbound (ICS) and Outbound (ICO):
EUR 40 per container, effective date August 1st, 2025

Rail via Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Wilhelmshaven and Rotterdam, Inbound (ICS) and Outbound (ICO):

EUR 40 per 20’ container, effective date August 1st, 2025
EUR 80 per 40’ container, effective date August 1st, 2025

In case of further questions please do not hesitate to contact your local Customer Service and Sales representatives.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support of OOCL.
Sincerely yours,
