So far this year Yangzijiang Shipbuilding has won new orders for 17 vessels worth a total of $1.03 billion.

The company’s outstanding orderbook stand at $22.3 billion. Clean-energy vessels accounted for 69% of the total orderbook value, reflecting the group’s strategic focus on low-carbon and environmentally friendly shipbuilding.

Ren Letian, Executive Chairman and CEO of Yangzijiang Shipbuilding, commented on the quarterly performance and market outlook, “the group’s production arrangement and vessel delivery schedule remained well on track throughout the period. Although escalating geopolitical tensions have made some customers more cautious in new shipbuilding negotiations, contractual projects under advanced negotiation procedures remain unaffected, which is fully evidenced by the $1.03 billion new orders secured year to date.”

Moving forward, Yangzijiang said it is well-positioned to capture incremental market demand amid industrial evolution. The group will prioritize filling the remaining delivery slots for 2026 to 2029 and gradually release new production capacity for the year 2030 to sustain long-term business growth.

To date the group’s orderbook includes 252 vessels. All vessels are scheduled for delivery between 2026 and 2030.

In terms of vessel type, container ships ranked first with 146 vessels. Bulk carriers amounted to 42 vessels and oil tankers included 38 vessels. Meanwhile, liquefied petroleum gas carriers, very large ammonia carriers and very large ethane carriers totalled 26 vessels.
