In accordance with the assessment of Drewry Supply Chain Advisors, the container rates continues this week the decreasing tendency. As it is mentioned, their composite World Container Index decreased by 4% to $4,374 per 40-foot container.

Freight rates from Shanghai to Rotterdam decreased by 1% or $49 to $4,824, and Rotterdam to Shanghai remained unchanged at $607 per 40-foot container.

The rates from Shanghai to Genoa decreased by 5% or $312 to $5,988, while Shanghai to Los Angeles decreased by 6% or $394 to $5,878. As it is also reported, those on Shanghai to New York decreased by 4% or $281 to $7,598 per 40-foot container.

Meanwhile, the rates from Los Angeles to Shanghai increased by 2% or $14 to $839, and Rotterdam to New York decreased by 1% or $32 to $2,635 per FEU. Furthermore, the freight from New York to Rotterdam this week increased by 1% or $13 to $1,050 per 40-foot container.
