Splash247: AD Ports launches Aqaba digital venture with Jordan partner
Published by Splash247
AD Ports Group has launched Noatum Ports – Maqta Ayla Digital Solutions, a joint venture with Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC) aimed at accelerating digitalisation across Jordan’s main port gateway.
The new company will develop and operate a port community system for Aqaba, connecting port users, terminal operators, government authorities and logistics stakeholders through a single digital platform.
The venture has also completed the first phase of a truck management system at Aqaba’s ports, designed to streamline cargo movements, reduce waiting times and improve logistics efficiency.
The launch marks the latest step in AD Ports’ growing presence in Jordan, where the UAE-based group has been steadily expanding its activities across ports, logistics, customs and tourism infrastructure.
Operating under AD Ports’ international port arm, Noatum Ports, the venture aims to improve information sharing and coordination between parties involved in cargo handling and supply chain operations.
ADC chief executive Hussein Al Safadi said the project would support the development of Aqaba’s digital infrastructure while strengthening the city’s logistics and maritime sector.
Mohamed Al Tamimi, chief executive of Noatum Ports, said the company would deploy its experience in port operations and technology solutions to support supply chain efficiency and digital transformation efforts in Aqaba.
The launch follows a series of investments by AD Ports in Jordan over the past two years.
In February 2026, the group signed a 30-year concession agreement with ADC to manage and operate the Aqaba Multipurpose Port. The company had earlier opened the Aqaba Cruise Terminal in 2023 and has also been involved in the development of the Marsa Zayed waterfront project.
AD Ports further expanded its footprint in the kingdom in 2025 through an agreement with Jordan Customs to manage and operate the Al Madouneh Customs Centre in Amman, a project aimed at improving cross-border trade flows and supply chain efficiency.
The latest venture adds a digital layer to the group’s growing portfolio in Jordan as it seeks to strengthen its position across the country’s maritime, logistics and trade sectors.
