Splash247: Busan port opens Port‑i transhipment monitor to all users
Busan Port Authority (BPA) has expanded access to Port‑i, its AI- and blockchain-based transhipment monitoring system, making the tool available to all registered users of the port’s ChainPortal platform from June 3.
Port‑i consolidates real‑time transhipment data from nine container terminals, showing berth, vessel and cargo‑handling status on a single screen and offering vessel and cargo monitoring, anomaly detection and unified berth schedules across terminals.
Previously limited to shipping lines and terminal operators, Port‑i will now be available to logistics companies, freight forwarders and other stakeholders who register as corporate or individual members on ChainPortal and select the transhipment monitoring menu. The system combines AI for analytical accuracy and anomaly detection with blockchain to bolster data reliability.
“Port‑i is the result of three years of development incorporating feedback from the field,” said Song Sang‑geun, president of BPA.
