Splash247: Hecksher buys Fairplay Shipping
Published by Splash247
Greencarrier Group’s freight forwarding arm Hecksher has acquired Danish logistics specialist Fairplay Shipping, adding another bolt-on deal to its expanding Nordic business.
Hecksher Denmark has bought 100% of the shares in Copenhagen-based Fairplay, which employs 13 people and specialises in areas including healthcare logistics, fine art transport, project cargo, air freight and warehousing. Financial terms were not disclosed.
All Fairplay employees will remain with the business, while Jeanet Hedegaard will continue to head up day-to-day operations during the integration. Fairplay will initially retain its existing name before gradually transitioning to the Hecksher brand.
The deal follows Hecksher’s acquisition of a majority stake in Swedish road freight specialist TCT in early 2025. TCT was fully folded into the Hecksher brand in February this year.
Hecksher dates back to 1797 and is today part of Sweden’s Greencarrier Group, with freight forwarding operations spanning sea, air, road and project logistics.
