Splash247: Pole Star adds berth intelligence tools to Meridia platform
Published by Splash247
Pole Star Global has expanded its Meridia maritime intelligence platform with a new berth analytics feature designed to give users a consolidated view of berth activity and utilisation across ports.
The new Berths tab brings together a range of operational and performance data into a single port-mapped interface, providing port authorities, terminal operators and shipping companies with greater visibility into berth-level activity.
Among the new features are KPI cards displaying the total number of berths, active terminal operators and dwell time statistics for a port. Users can also access a detailed berth table grouped by terminal operator, enabling analysis of individual berth performance and dwell times.
The platform also includes vessel occupancy graphs and a top port visitors panel, highlighting vessel traffic patterns, berth utilisation trends and the ships calling most frequently at a given port.
Pole Star said the new functionality is aimed at simplifying access to berth intelligence by bringing together data that would traditionally require multiple sources and manual analysis.
For port operators and shipping teams, berth performance data plays a key role in planning port calls, negotiating terminal arrangements and monitoring operational efficiency.
The company said the enhanced view allows users to compare dwell times across terminals, identify trends in berth occupancy and gain a clearer understanding of how activity is distributed across a port.
